    Brother MFC 9840cdw print unable 2A

    I have replaced belt sensor, density sensor, transfer H.V.P.S., waste box,transfer belt and still get error. Any ideas?

    I have tried replacing the drive train per brother tech support, this did not fix either.

    problem resolved, it proved to be the belt release solonoid

    Thanks for this posts BIG-TIME. I pulled the "Belt Cleaner release assembly" and stretched the solonoid spring and cleaned the sensor and it works GREAT.

    You all are awesome for posting this! I wanted to add what helped me get this done. Sorry for dumbing it down (I'm not a printer tech). Little white piece was sticking to foam (sticky surface) when spring compressed, so I put a tiny piece of clear tape over this sticky foam. I also stretched the spring a bit to help it return. Thank you again, and I hope this helps someone else like me. Also, I found another description of how to get to this part (Google MFC-9400CN Print Unable 2A FIX).

    Yeah all the foam pieces on the solenoids for this machine are going bad now. Seeing a lot of these calls. Pretty easy fix considering there's no metal involved... you can get away with just peeling off the foam and that's it.
