brother mfc8440 maintenance needed print unable #32

this is a update to earlier post. customer just gave me all of the info. it says maintenance needed print unable #32 on screen. not familiar with brothers so any advice would be apreciated

If this is the colour laser machine this fault is usually caused by the shutter on the transfer belt alignment sensor sticking.
It is located under the fuser at the rear base of the machine and is usually covered by a couple of screw on or clip on metal & plastic covers.
Once you have removed the fuser and can see the start of the transfer belt at the rear you are looking for the sensor that is just underneath the back edge of the belt, this has a solenoid operated shutter which is normally the problem.

Just looked in the service manual for that error and it doesn't exist. The errors start in the 50's. Either the model is wrong or the error code is. Can you recheck with the user and repost.

This is correct. Machine error 32 is an inkjet service code that deals with the travel of the print head due to various problems- debris, improper maintenance unit operation, etc.
