    Brother 4750e odd display

Have a Brother 4750e that shows an odd display (there are 5 or 6 rectangles on the display and nothing else) and the modem sounds like it is trying to connect (with phone line connected or disconnected). When I press any of the display panel buttons it beeps at me and I cannot get into maintenance mode. I've attached a drawing of what the display looks like so I'm hoping someone has seen this before and can give me some guidance.

Thank you for your time and effort in this matter.

    Re: Brother 4750e odd display

Have seen this type of fault before, but it was a long time ago. From my best recollection it was a power supply issue, but it is definately a board fault.
If you have any other old Brother products around they did tend to use the same PSU in a few different machines, so you may have one you can try

Thanks for the reply. I will check and see if we have access to any of these and give it a try. Figured it to be a board issue but wasn't sure where to start.

    Thanks again
