We have a new customer they sold a new copier to, and they called with an issue on a Roland 52 inch printer. I took it and aside from what I found online, I want to get more info.

Just from looking at the sales literature, mechanically it looks a lot like the Canon iPF's or the HP Designjets. The tricky part will be the OS side though. If it were me, I'd be a lot more confident if I could get a service and parts manual. Let me know what you discover. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I talked to the customer today. I told her I had never worked on that brand and ask her about calling the authorized dealer that is probably closer. She said she wants to deal with us. Her complaint is print quality. She was describing a smear. While I was on their website, I found info that said a lot of issues are because of dirty wipers. it said they should be changed often. I also found a video of how to do basic maintenance on it. The customer said she has some of their cleaning solution on site. The machine is 2 years old, heavily used and has never been serviced. I will take it as a challenge and expand my horizons.
