Man, they weren't kidding either, it took an hour and a half at least.
Also, if you run Ccleaner afterwards, be prepared to turn your computer to maximum performance and let it run at least overnight one time, as there is over 12Gbyte of stuff that will be left over.
Bleagh.
Your mileage may vary, though. This machine was the least expensive model at WalMart about four years ago.
Looks like updates will be smaller from now on, but from what I read on Slashdot individual updates are a thing of the past. So they will still take a while.
But wait, there's more! I think the same story said that Windows 7 and 8.1 will have the same types of updates shortly (you will want to check the Windows support site to make sure). So welcome to my world!
