To sum things up Lexmark isn't trying to stop the production of generic toner, they're fighting for the right to program their machines from functioning when it recognizes generic toner is installed. I side with Lexmark.Kyocera came up with the most diplomatic solution. Allow the generic but explicitly state all warranties are void. (The required printouts for warranty claim will say generic toner has been installed)
