Wide format Plotter Service Agreements?

Wondering if anybody out there offers per foot service (without supplies) on wide format Designjet plotters & equivalents.

We've been servicing them for years on a billable basis, & want to start selling them new with maintenance agreements.

Any thoughts, per foot rates, recommendations, words of caution, etc., would be greatly appreciated.

My previous employer sold contracts on wide format, several different brands. No two of the same model, of course. I suspect we lost money on every single one, parts and supplies are very expensive. I’m thinking maybe a dime a running foot?
