I will vary my rate by machine especially since business is not thriving. Small low cost machines are limited in that customers don't want to spend much for repair of machines that are replaced cheaply. So from $88 to 110 for firs 75 minutes..
On more sophisticated and expensive machines I will charge $125 to $165 per hour. Parts are never what Mfr suggests as in most cases that is not enough. If I spend $135 for a board I am not goint to charge $165 because the Mfr suggests it. What about the parts you buy to stock to have just in case. Many eventually get tossed.
If you are making good money nn recycled toners and drum units then you may want to be more reasonable or even cheap with service charge to keep the gravy train running and not allow machine to be replaced by something that you will lose 50% to 75% in revenue on supply items.
Hence,( like that word) when considering service charges, if you are in a position to be flexible then that is the best course. Frank/ActionPhotocopy
