    Stair Climber Brand Recommendation

I am looking for recommendations for a stair climber for moving copy machines. Just wondering who has one and what brand if you like it. A quick search found PowerMate and Escalera. I'd rather hear any real world uses/complaints from members than watch staged YouTube videos.

    Thanks for looking,
    JL

Nobody uses one??? Just get 4 techs together and lift up the stairs. With big machines there isn't always room and someone gets squeezed out. Luckily most places have elevators or wheelchair ramps, but sometimes not.

We use this brand, model MS-1-72 when we need to, if it's a seg. 2-4; we use Copy Carriers if it's a larger segment or a bunch of stairs.

We have one of the escalera model ms-1-66. It is over 10 years old and the only thing we have done is replace the batteries when they get to not holding a charge. We have moved machines as big as a Sharp MX6200 with it.

We've used Escaleras for years. Our first one is still going and its got to be at least 15 years old. Rebuild them about every 7 or 8 years.

Thank you very much for taking the time to respond. Always glad to hear from real world users. I'll look more into these models.

We use both Escalera and a PowerMate. If you don't have a lift on your truck you need the PowerMate L-series. The Escalera only climes stairs. We have a big tire kit and big toe kit on ours. the lift attatchment sucks and is useless. P.S. All the old guys like the Escalera better and its a lot quicker on the stairs.
