    Monthly/Quarterly Tech bonus plan

For all you managers out there...I am in charge of developing a monthly or quarterly technician bonus plan.. Although #'s will be a part ( FCE, etc.) I dont want it to be based on 100% numbers.. Any managers have any thoughts? What are your bonus benchmarks?

    Re: Monthly/Quarterly Tech bonus plan

In addition to the above, I've always been a proponent of decent tip leads ($100 to 500 per machine). My sales reps are OK with it because we forewarn them when they're hired & they realize that if they are adequately compensated for it, techs can make a huge difference. I also pay them 10% of parts & labor on billable calls. At the end of the year, we pay bonuses based on company growth, & how much we feel they have hustled, gone the extra mile, etc.

    What is a bonus???
If we do an exemplary job the boss keeps us employed. If we do a so-so job he threatens to fire us.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!

If it's a ruse to not give raises it's grossly unfair to techs on the lower rung who don't have a decent salary yet.

Food, gas, energy, pretty much everything skyrocketing in price and we're supposed dance like androgynous toner monkeys for tips.

How about a decent cost of living increase from time to time?

We're supposed to be professionals not commissioned help.
