    Hypothetically Speaking.....

Company becomes Sharp dealership, signs dealership agreement......

Two years in decides to pull the plug on the operation....what happens to accounts??

Can company sell accounts to another dealer? If non Sharp dealer, I'm assuming violation of dealership agreement, what happens?

    Re: Hypothetically Speaking.....

That's what happened when an employer of mine exited the copier business. The contracts were sold en-mass to another dealership. That dealership immediately started hard-selling those customers the current brand.

As the last remaining representative of the previous company I was in the unenviable position of apologizing to each of these customers for the strong arm tactics of my new employer. That was just one good reason not to work there any more. =^..^=

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.

I had previous employer do exactly same BC., so I figured I would move on as well.
I was not put on this earth to constantly apologise for other peoples errors.

From what I've seen, if you are responsible for any "national" accounts (where that manufacturer sells directly to the customers and you provide follow up), those accounts go away immediately when you break the dealership agreement.
For the other accounts, it is up to you to convince them to continue to be customers of yours.
There is no selling of these accounts. You will either keep them or you will lose them depending on your effort.
