Windows 10 Update Notification for Windows-based Fiery Servers

Canon Technical Publication is to report an issue where select Windows based Canon Fiery Print Servers will receive a notification to update the current operating system to Microsoft Windows 10. On June 1, 2015,
Microsoft announced that Windows 10, an update to the Windows operating system, can be reserved via the Windows Auto Update.
Currently, Windows 10 is NOT supported on any Windows-based Fiery servers.

DETAILS:
In the Windows system tray at the lower right side of the taskbar, a new Windows logo icon with the caption, “Get Windows 10”, is displayed.

Since Windows 10 is not supported on the Fiery servers, please DO NOT update the Fiery servers to Windows 10.

It is strongly recommend to perform a full backup of the system image, in the event that the Windows-based Fiery server is accidentally upgraded to Windows 10. If the
system is accidentally updated, the system image can be used to restore the controller to its previous state.



NOTE: If the Canon Fiery Print Server is updated, it will void support and possibly cause the Fiery system to fail or function improperly.
If your customer upgrades the OS to Windows 10, you must re-install the Fiery SSW to the currently supported versions if a restore is not available.

Thanks teckat!!! My Fiery's aren't Cannon their Ricoh and I expect to see the same on most of them also...............................

I would think EFI would fix this since the Fiery windows updates come through EFI...........
