    Cannon ir 5000 e000005 help

I replaced the fuser web gear assembly because the gears on the old one were cracked and broken which gave a e000005 code. 2000 copies later with the new assembly I have the same code. Solenoid is working, web is advancing. i go to COPIER> Counter> DRBL1> FIX-WEB], press the "C" key to clear the counter. And the machine is running again. But I bet 2000 copies later it will fault out again

    Why is this code happening??!

Web photo interrupt blocked with fuser lube and paper fibers? Also check drawer connector for paper pieces jammed inside it. Look carefully

We have had bad web sensors. Canon came out with new ones a while ago. Even on new fusers, a few sensors were bad. Maybe that is a problem?

Replace the Web, and Sensor. Then Pull out the engine, And clear these two counters: Counter> DRBL1> Fixweb; Counter>Misc>FIXWEB. Reset the machine with the engine pulled out, and check the counters. they should be at 00000. Reinsert engine, and see what the outcome is. I have an 8105 which when the web is replaced, the counters will not clear if the engine is inserted. the client runs about 500 copies, and the E005 comes back. Clearing counters with the engine out works every time. Hope this helps!

As far as I can tell everything was correct.. However. I did. Price that for some reason the web was not advancing. I went back a week later and it was. Fingers crossed. 😊
