    imagePROGRAF_Major_Component_ID_and_Replacement video

    Dropbox - imagePROGRAF_Major_Component_ID_and_Replacement.ex e

Download and unzip the above file. Then click the RUN.html file to launch the video.

Scrool to page 3> select Menu>Under Major Componet Replacement > select ipf8000 series> select Carriage Unit /Print Head removal> will show removal procedure.
Don't use Firefox to open/run .html --use IE

    Re: IPF8300 print head question

If your iPF starts going through print heads faster than what's considered usual (around 2 years +/-), you should probably replace the purge unit caps...or the purge unit itself.

Don't have my Prograf manuals handy, but I do know there's a part number for just the caps for the print heads. The purge unit itself is QM3-7018-030.
