make sure the (option) Network Adapter is sitting correctly on the Image Processor
    NA2.JPGNA BOARD.JPGNetwork Adapter

Make sure the EER LIGHT is not Lit or Blinking
on Printer power on it will light then go off

    Press (Additional Functions)
    <System Settings> ➞ press [OK].
    <Network Settings> ➞ press [OK].
    <Ethernet Driver> ➞ press [OK].
Press [OK] to select <Auto Detect>.
Select whether or not to use the Automatic Detect function.
    ● If you want the machine to automatically determine the communication mode (Half duplex/Full duplex) and Ethernet type (10 Base-T/
    100 Base-TX):
    Use [^] or [V] to select <On /or Off> ➞ press [OK].

    IMPORTANT
Connect the cable with the power OFF. Even when you set <Auto Detect> to ‘On’, the Auto Detect function will not work correctly if you reconnect the network cable (for
example, to a different Ethernet hub) with the power ON.
    NOTE
The default setting is ‘On’. Use the ‘Off’ setting when you want to specify a particular Ethernet setting.
Press [OK] to select <Auto Detect>.
    Use [^] or [V] to select <Settings> ➞press [OK].
    Use [^] or [V] to select<Communication Mode> ➞ press [OK].

Press (Reset) to return to the Standby display.
    *Restart the machine.
Turn OFF the machine, wait at least 10 seconds, and then turn it ON.

Re: Canon ir2318 Network Adapter not appearing

    Hi
In cases where the option to configure the device's network settings is missing, verify the following:

Print out the User's Data List to verify that the item "NETWORK SETTINGS" appear under "MANAGE USER ID". When the item "NETWORK SETTINGS" does not appear under "MANAGE USER ID," the device is not properly detecting the network interface card (NIC).

Furthermore, verify the information shown in the SPEC REPORT sheet that can be generated by going to Service Mode and printing the SPEC LIST.

To resolve the issue, open the back panel of the device and reseat the connectors. Should this not help, attempt replacing any, or a combination of the following items:
    Image Processor PCB Assembly
    Network Interface Card (NIC)
    Wiring Harness

    Good Luke

what happened before this issue appeared ( at customers site )

u have same exact issue at two different sites on same models =
not displaying on the system settings
    --
not to many options to check>>> bad Adapter - Firmware - Connections

    so everything is missing under
    System Settings

Post a picture of that missing in MENU selection

go in and reload SYSTEM FIRMWARE
