    8295 Pro - E808-0004

    Hi there,

I'm having this problem with the above machine. Can't seem to find anyone who has had the same error.
The service manual, as happens all too often, does not say much at all on this except for replacing the Main Drive Driver PCB.

Has anyone come across this before? I have the PCB now in stock so will try it and see. Hopefully help someone in the future. The place where this machine is, is very dusty. There are layers of dust everywhere, in fans & filters, every month without fail. Probably failed due to this.

Alas, it was not the Main Drive Driver PCB as the manual said. The error is still coming up!

Please someone help....there's not much else I can do at this point. Have taken all the power boards out and checked for dry joints as it seems to be a common problem here in Africa.

    Check your upper main thermistor
    & upper fixing unit.

    How is outlet voltages_?
    Especially_Ground to Netural= +\-0.0>0.5v

Benjamin98 said that is not Main Driver PCB.thermistor and ground seems ok.
hmm, I´m in doubt now to replace PCB or not!?

    =============================================

    Seems OK !!

that statement is usually used by non-investigative techs

On the Main Drive Driver PCB > all the Fuses need to read the same DC voltage on both sides of fuse/ never a 0
To check the fuses, place one meter lead on frame ground and one lead on one side of the fuse. (check both ends)

    in your case> E808= FU19 12V

Upper Main Thermistor (THIM1) notorious for e808 on 6000/8000 advanced series

chart below shows the voltage of the fuses, connectors / pin location, loads and error / alarm codes.

Following is a list of error codes this chart associates a fuse with:
    E824, E005, E121, E023, E804, E820, E401, E025, E020, E008, E002, E001, E000

Following is a list of alarm codes this chart associates a fuse with:
    33-0026, 33-0027, 04-0073

    Re: 8295 Pro - E808-0004

    Teckat thanks a lot.
Today main thermistor is replaced and error 808-004 is gone.
Also your question( ,,How is outlet voltages_? Especially_Ground to Netural= +\-0.0>0.5v,,) in that moment was 0,00V.
After few hours new errors has appeared E005,E0014,E0066 and jams with code 0101,0106,0215,010B,010A,010D and I was totaly crazy.

Next step was to turn off machine then again check voltages between ground and neutral. It was about 26V(See pic.)
    1.jpg
2nd step was to call electrician and after he solve problem machine work whithout any problem. This is very old building and power isn`t good.(I wasn`t know that because this is new customer and I dont have experiance with them).
Thanks again because You insisted to check outlet voltages .I know about this problem but I was never found it until today.

    Welcome !!!!!

Have seen many issues with outlets\ especially in older buildings.
U need to test all customers\ some don't believe u.
Had customers plug in refrigerators, heaters, toasters in another room that was wired to next room with printer.
    😱
Salespeople are fired if outlet repair is not addressed in contracts.
    No ifs ends or bits.

From now first step at customer will be ,,Hi I need to check your outlets,,..

In this building there is 7 or 8 copiers and stack paper cutters ,ploters and other machines. This machine is joined to emaintenance and from yesterday there is no emails with error or jam messages. This iR will be under surveillance for few days.
