    Canon ICD 1120

When using the adf or the glass there is a 2 1/2 in void going from top to bottom, prints are great looking . I'm thinking the CIS (contact image sensor) is bad. tried cleaning it already and checked the connections of the flat cable. there's print about 5in from the left then the void then about an inch of print before the edge of the page.

the copy is all there with 2 1/2 void area all the way from top to bottom. as if there was something that wide covering the cis assy. my question is, can part of the cis not see any longer while rest sees great???

Are you getting this void while printing also or an internal print without using the scanner?
If you are, I would look to the toner crtg or the laser unit. Maybe something blocking the laser unit window.

print jobs come out great, void only shows up when coping or using the adf
