recently we are facing problem when sending scan to email by using gmail smtp settings in IRC 5185, it just showing re-sending.
it was working fine, did gmail changes its policy or something? do we need to smtp port setting?

hi
check this
Gmail SMTP port (TLS): 587
Gmail SMTP port (SSL): 465
Gmail SMTP TLS/SSL required: yes

Check said Gmail account has allow unsecure apps turned on.
Yes, I am a nerd.
Gaming PC - check. Raspberry Pi - Check. Custom ROM on phone - check. Thick glasses - check.
I have had that a manual login is needed from time to time. Just opening the gmail account from a computer gets it running again.
Whatever
It just sent out an email that google changed the gmail setup again to "prevent" unwanted usage. I do not have the work around yet but there is one I was told.
And Star Trek was just a tv show...yeah right!
I am having a similar issue recently (Since Oct 29/30th 2015) where all of our gmail SMTP connected ir3025/3035/3045 series machines fail with #753. Upon trying to send machine immediately indicates "Resending" and hands for quite a while until the resulting error of #753 is indicated in the log.
The strange thing is an iR2270 here with the same settings works flawlessly. To clarify we currently have 2 devices side by side on the same network (1 iR2270 and 1 iR3035). Bothe devices have the following settings:
- SMTP Server = smtp.gmail.com
- SSL for SMTP = ON
- SMTPTX port = 587
- SMTP Auth = on
- gmail username and password are entereds in authetication settings.
- "Allow less secure devices" enabled in the gmail account.
The iR 2270 works every time and the iR3025 fails every time with "Resending" message and eventual #753 code. What is different about the iR 3025?
We also have several failed iR3025 series machine in the field currently that are all using gmail as SMTP . Anybody else seeing these issues? Seems to only be related to this series (and possibly the iRC5185 as stated earlier in these posts)
Any help/suggestions appreciated.
UPDATE
Looks like the Konica/Minolta guys are having the same issues........
Scan To email (gmail) Konica Minolta Bizhub E Series
Looks like Google implemented a change in TLS from 1.0 to 1.2
Anybody have access to Canon USA e-support site to see if there is any word on this issue there?
Thanks,

SMTP server: aspmx.l.google.com (that's a lowercase L)
Port: 25
Authentication: None
SSL for SMTP: Off
try.this. hope it helps
Thanks for the info Sharptech1, but this only works in customer accounts where port 25 is not being blocked by the ISP. We have been moving towards keeping our fleet of machines set at port 587 with SSL/TLS because of this very issue.
Thanks for the response though.

why not port 465?
