IR 3300i scan to mail box and retrieve from pc

I have canon ir 3300i photocopier, i want to send scanned documents directly to my pc in network, how it is possible , secondly i am able to send the scanned document to my mailbox in photocopier machine but not able to retrieve same from my pc. i am able to view my mailbox from my pc after giving ip address of photocopier machine but could not download or save the scanned document which is stored in mailbox of photocopier.

you have to use rui. remote in to the copier using browser. as it sounds like you did. then go to i think it says custom settings, then into that and gives you a choice of where to send the mailbox info. it has to be sent to a folder, you cannot pull scan out of there.

Hi SPGROUP,
To see and save scanned documents in mailbox you have to install JBIG Image Viewer to add-in Internet Explorer. This software is free one from Canon. One of inconveniences of sending to mailbox to be when you scan many documents then file will be separeted into many sheets. You have to use another software to merge them.

I think everyone has missed that this model is an 'I'
so it can scan straight to folder(i.e a push scanner as opposed to twain/pull scanner).

you are right but you still have to fill in the info to make it work. Which folder its going to etc. use rui from your computer or walk up to the machine and fill in the info.

You say IR3300,
DO you have the send feature installed, If im not mistaking the IR3300i or IR3320i has the send feature. I don't remember if the 3300 has this feature?

Smb printing gets set up in the address book settings, FILE> windows SMB protocol> browse. Assuming the folder has to be set up on the network first. Here are some rules when your setting up SMB.

If your computer has more than 1 hard drive or more than 1 partition.
HOST NAME: \\ computer name or IP address \ hard disk shared name
FILE PATH: \ folder name or shared name
USER: enter a valid user name that has write privilege to the computer that
you are sending to.
PASSWORD: enter the valid user password.
Rule B: If your computer only has 1 hard drive or 1 partition.
HOST NAME: \\ computer name or IP address \ folder name or shared name
FILE PATH: enter subdirectory in shared folder or leave this section blank.
USER: enter a valid user name that has write privilege to the computer that
you are sending to.
PASSWORD: enter the valid user password.

How to check feature on my machine? Now I cloud scan file by scangear.(TIF type . Can I change to PDF file?)
