    imagePress C1 - Unnormal DENS-Values

    Hello.

On one of our C1s, DENS values for CMY are unnormal and unstable. They range from nearly -20% to nearly +20%.

    What i tried so far:

    - New developer fillings
    - New ATR sensor
    - New Patch sensor
    - DC-CON reset
    - Developer INIT

    Nothing helped.

    Any ideas?

    Using Original Canon OEM Supplies\Parts_?

No Error Codes _? Why Worry _!! ;-)

    DRUM :-$

*****This mode enables you to change the method to control the amount of toner.

    A Mode
This is the default setting. The amount of toner is restricted in this mode, and settings made for color adjustments, such as Color Balance, may not be reflected to prevent the toner on the paper from scattering and image blurring on high density areas.

    B Mode
This mode removes all toner restrictions. Settings made for color adjustments, such as Color Balance, are directly reflected.

    1) Press [Additional Functions].

    2) Press [System Settings].

    3) Press [Device Management Settings].

    4) Press [Density Adjustment Mode].

    5) Press [B Mode].

    6) Press [OK].

    Thanks Teckat.

Tried your recommendation. Did not help.

The machine is constantly giving E20 Errors, plus PG10 (and all other pritned pages) look like on the pics attached.
Yellow is printed, and when it comes to magenta, the top of the page is printed, but then no more colours...

That's why i changed the ATR and patch sensors in the first place, because i know that E20's can be generated from these...

And no, the toner and carrier is not original canon, but i have these running on several C1's without any problem since years. Just this very machine gives me headaches.

I really don't know what else to do.

what are the sub codes for your e020_xxxx ???

Did u inspect the bias contacts ?

The Developing BIAS Input Assembly resides on the front plate of the P-Kit. When the Developer Units rotate and are positioned for development, the BIAS tab rubs against the Developing BIAS Input Assembly to receive the developing BIAS. It is possible the machine could experience loss of colors intermittently and therefore needs replacement. The part number is FM2-2662-000.

    ================================================== =========

    have u inspected /replaced the Bias Cable ___??? FM2-7291-000.
many techs have damaged this cable when you open the Process Unit or tried to repair it.

Also>Replacing the Rotary Motor Unit FM2-2641-000 has resolved E020-0X86 codes and washed out copies.
++ E020 codes, with sub codes of 0286,018A,018B and/ or blank copies.
M4 Rotary Motor (FM2-2641-000) & the Rear Driver pcb (FM2-7732-010)
