Angry C3480 Jam 0A05 every morning... its not the sticky sponges

A Strange one, The jam code list claims that it was feeding letter from tray 2..... However, there is always an 11x17 sheet fed up the paper path to registration... which is actually tray 4... seems to be when the machine is waking up for a fax through the night... any ideas...

0A05 POWER ON JAM after an 0105 jam

    Cassette Paper Pick-Up assembly FM3-0009-000

The registration sensor arm on the paper pick-up assembly (FL2-6580-000 arm item 15 fig 310) has a small metallic plate around the tip of the arm to prevent wear of the arm. This metalic plate can become partially detached from the end of the arm and prevent it returning home causing the above fault.

not the metal on the flags either... repeat... the client finds an 11x17 sheet jammed in the machine... the recorded jam is 0A05 and is showing as fed from tray 2... LTR... the 11x17 tray is 4

Hi may be the sticky sponges of the solenoid or the sticky sponge of the register flag....have you checked if there is any error code at the same time that the copier jams....

which soleniod?.. the one on the tray 4 feeder?... Also there are no sponges left... or any residual glue.. I may try a tray 4 feeder assembly
The fact that its feeding 11x17... but logging a jam for LTR is what gets me...

I have seen these feed assembly's do this in the 3570 series too. Its basically the same thing. I recommend a new or replacement assembly.
