    COPIER>OPTION>IMG-FIX. Find the manual.

I hope you know what you're doing.

    hi,

interesting....was only checking the manual today ref this....We have a tech in our motley crew that increases fixing temp on nearly every machine he goes to, its a pain as now i have to check machines default temp setting to see if he increases it. Especially on the ir30/32225/45, sort of series, he says it get rids of the paper curl with damp paper. I disagree and say it actually makes it worse...any thoughts?

It definitely makes it worse. Lower temp reduces curl.

The only time that I have increased fuser temp (and with reservations), is when the enduser refuses to select the correct media type. And it's not just stupidity. The enduser discovers that certain finishing functions become unavailable when the proper media type is selected. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
