Think this will work on your model.

The only way to control or limit users making color copies is through Deptartment ID Mode. You can limit the amount of color copies a department can make through the limited functions key, within Deptartment ID. Follow the procedure below, to setup a department ID and limit the amount of color copies to zero:

Press additional functions key > System Settings > Dept. ID Management to enter ID Mode.

    * Turn ON Dept. ID Management.

    * Push the Register Dept. ID/Password button.

    * Push the Register button.

    * Enter a Dept. ID and Password then push the Turn Limits On/Off button.

    * Set the Color Copy Limit to ON and set the copy limit to zero.

Note: Users now will get a message informing them that they have reached the counter limit when they try to make color copies.

To prevent Color copies from being made using Department id, follow these instructions.

    1) Select [Additional Function].

    2) Select [System Settings].

    3) Select [Department ID Management].

    4) Select [ON].

    5) Select [Register Dept.ID/Password].

    6) Select [register].

    7) Enter a Department ID number with a password.

    8) Select [Turn Limits ON/OFF and Set Page Limit].

    9) Select [Color Copy Limit] and turn [ON] and leave counter to 00000.

    10) Press [OK]

If you try to make a copy the copier will not permit you. You will get an error message: [Reached counter Limit. The printing/reserved jobs may be stopped. Check the print logs].
