Make sure that the spring on the front right side of the ITB assembl is not loose inside the assembly.
If so , reattach the spring.
The area where the spring attaches is under the intermediate transfer belt. If the plastic pieces that hold the spring in place are broken, the ITB assembly will need to be replaced. The part number for the ITB assembly is FM3-8240-000.
Replace DC CONTROLER and Laser as a pair.

Posted has replaced the ITB.
Do a PG 10 test print & stop the machine during the process then remove the ITB, what is the image on the belt like good or faint?

Check the life of the external transfer roller if it is patchy. Also there are springs and clips at front and rear of ext transfer that occasionally fall off.
Are you getting any error codes
I am batteling this as well. No error codes that appear on panel(forgot to check report). Very faded/washed out images. Put in new ITB and outer transfer roller to no avail. Also had to update machine firmware to tell machine it has the new type of ITB. After doing that, still having same problem. Called canon and they are saying to replace the HV-PCB. Tech on the phone had me do PG 10 and stop the machine. Image on ITB looked good and dense but not on paper. Does anyone have a picture of the transfer/separation section on the right door of where all the bias contacts are and such?
Is it one colour that is throwing everything off or all colours? Have you done single colours?? I had an issue with one of the laser shutters, underneath the laser shutter is a milor strip, it got caught, the laser shutter would open but milor was bent back...caused me no end of grief, wishy washy copies n prints. Might be worth a look. Do you have a image you can show?
prior to the new style t-belt there was a bulletin about adjusting hv setting and I think there is a reminder in the belt box about making sure to reset those settings?
