    IR-C2550 double image

Have a copier that only when printing out color faxes, the magenta and cyan don't sync up. I went over and did some calibrating a couple weeks ago and lined images up.
Does the belt cause similar problems to a IR3220. Where replacing or rebuilding transfer belt is in order.
Note : that when they print or copy the image aligns.

    ======
Could be a image Memory DDR-SDRAM issue_?

    Or___

ECM stands for Error Correction Mode. It is a way the device will reduce the effect of line communication errors. While the device communicates using ECM the following takes place.

    1) A fixed number of data packets are sent.
    2) The receiving machine examines the data.
    3) If the receiver determines that all data packets are not present, a request will be made to the sending unit to resend the data.
    4) If the receiving machine determines that the all the data packets have been received a confirmation is sent to the sending unit.
    5) The Sending unit will send the next group of data.

This process will continue for the duration of the fax call. In order for ECM to be effective, both devices must have this feature. If one of the devices does not have ECM capabilities, the communication will proceed in standard G3 mode.

To Enable or Disable ECM for Fax Transmissions, go into Additional Functions followed by Communications Settings

ECM is a mode which automatically corrects errors in an image while it is being received.
Even when ECM is set, errors can sometimes occur due to a poor telephone line connection.
If there is trouble with the line, it will take more time to receive the documents.

    1) Additional Function
    2) Communication Settings
    3) RX Settings
    4) ECM TX, either select ON or OFF

    Also to note;_

What product is sending these Faxes_?
    Sending Model_?

    Color Printer_?
    Fax Machine_?

    Desktop Printer_?
