    DR7580

    Hello,

New to the Canon scanner world. Just picked up a DR7580 and went to test it with an copy of Service_Tool_V333.exe that i had from a previous engagement. It does not find the scanner. Is this a setting change or do i have the wrong service tool?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,

    Rick P.

    service support tool?
I may be wrong about this, but I am pretty certain SST is not for the image scanner series devices.
what are you trying to accomplish?

    Re: DR7580

Hi, and thanks for the quick reply.
I used the DR4K5K6KX10 Service Tool to run motors, sensors, etc.. and do analog tests and registrations on an X10 scanner a few months back..thing worked great! Can't get it to see the older DR7580 i just picked up. Are these tools specific to the model?

Looks like each model scanner has its own service tool. The DR-7580 tool is labeled DR6080_7580_9080C_ST_V115

The QUMA Service Tool is located in the Tools folder, a sub-folder of the Driver folder on the DR 6080/7580/9080C Setup CD.
The password for the service tool is quma.
