Canon IPF 8100 - Firmware downgrade

    G'day,

My canon IPF8100 printer was working perfectly until I recently upgraded the firmware.

Since then it is throwing massive errors in relation to the heads.
I have noticed this is a common issue with the new firmware and many have solved the problem by downgrading to firmware 1.34
Unfortunately, I cannot find this firmware anywhere as Canon has deleted all of it's old firmware

If anyone could please direct me on where I could access firmware 1.34 or any other possible solution it would be greatly appreciated.

This has cost me 4 business days already and I am very eager to get this printer working again.

    Thanks in advance,

Re: Canon IPF 8100 - Firmware downgrade

    Updated:

Managed to find the old firmware (1.36)
I am currently running firmware (1.43)

However, every time I boot the printer up it just dumps a shit load of ink as it says its in cleaning mode.

When I boot it in service mode it blocks any print jobs from being received.
This is both from the ENCAD program and the L Printer Service Tool.

I have managed to find the firmware I need to downgrade to but the printer is not receiving anything..

How do I go about downgrading from 1.43 - 1.36?
Any help would be greatly appreciated - surely there is a way...

    Thank you,

Does anyone have this?? All went wrong after firmware update
Printer worked just fine for me before update.
Printer is just in private use, so cant afford expensive technician visits
I think ipf8300 etc. firmware will work too..
        Thank you !
