The guy calls again for smudges. Two other techs go back. Rebuilt fuser and was told was better but had roller marks on two sided copies. Apparently the duplexer rollers have felt pads that had toner on them that when they tried to clean rollers it kept getting on paper. They went back with fuser/duplex section from traded in machine to fix. I have never seen this but other tech has. I was shown the pads with the fuser and transfer unit and registration unit out. They are on the top side. He said the rollers were slick and they ordered 5 duplex rollers to replace on unit they brought back. I was very happy to get help. Posted back to help someone else here.
Canon has a bulletin about this issue...
I have a new issue I need help with. 0108 jams duplexing. Paper stops in duplexing at flapper mylar where tray two feeds though. Took piece of folded paper to keep flapper closed and it duplexes fine. Every sheet stops there and second side sometimes feeds through it. The other techs gave me spring for flapper tech noticed was missing when they were out there that did not help. I don't know what is done to keep it closed. I am guessing a solenoid and lever open it. Other techs put new duplex rollers in.
There is one Thing you must know about the adv 6xxx and the 8xxx series... They are "White Writer" , means a soiled Laser mirror or Polygon means not faded but soiled prints. Maybe you shound give it a try. Regarding the Jam, there a multiple issues on this Box because of the using of bushings instead of ball bearings. Inspect the delivery assy carefully for seized shafts, also you should look at the assy that drives the delivery assy, there exists a modificated one with ball bearings, while the original one with bushings tends also to stuck.and the printer pulls out weird 11x17 light yellow paper that had shadow like front to back
Reagarding the 108 Jam, i found a Bulletin for you:

Thank you very much! What we found is when they brought back the rebuilt unit with the new duplex rollers, the flapper on the bottom of the duplex unit had the lever on the wrong side of the solenoid. My boss went with me and we took the fuser drawer out and straightened out the duplex hinge (tech pub about a stronger one but we did not have one). I did see the tech pub you posted. I had that problem on a 6075 but it was an error code. He has not called back (yet).
