Arrow Canon IR2010 system error E000- reset but goes back into code.

I know it's an old machine- The quick fix/test would be to replace the fuser but- a fuser is about $500.00.
I think the machine is worth that much when new!

I tested the fuser lamp- okay-- tested the thermistors and there resistance matches cool and warm (by pressing finger to see change) and they seem okay-slight wear though.

I wasn't sure of the power supply board-- but-- I came to the machine and the display only showed an up arrow- nothing else- like it was in sleep mode pressing buttons unplugging and plugging in machine wouldn't get it going. I took the heater out and tested it, took about an hour- then put it in and machine got ready- then got error E000 so I reset and machine is ready.

I told customer to shut main switch when not using machine so it wouldn't go into sleep mode-

    Now????
Is it the Power Supply or The Fuser??? (Wasn't sure how to test fuser will check in manual-but what if it's erratic.)

I meant to say tested fuser- not sure how to test Power Supply Board.

U can not check proper resistance with your finger.

U might see a slight change, but it's all about the HEAT measurement at certain points during power on\ cycling.

Yea; I kind of suspect the fuser is erratic- the last thing I suspect is the lamp fluctuating- that would be out there like aliens from another world (which I don't believe exist).

I still want to check power at the psb. but I want to do a little reading on it first.

I am ordering thermistors for the machine. I guess I'll change the Upper roller also.

So far the customer turning machine off when not making copies seems to work.

I'll let you know the out come in about a month.

    Thanks.

As you wait for the thermistors to come, you could check power flactuations using a meter;also revisit the power supply pcb for possible dry joints as this is an old machine.
