    Canon IR8105 E590-8002

Staple Finisher D1.......When warming up error E590-8002 appeared. A message appeared empty punch bin or reseat the punch bin. Then align the marks on the green handle of the punch unit to triangle. I tried the above then a Jam error with the jam code of "1307". (S101 and S102 stationary jam at Power On) When I look into the exit area of the finisher with a flash light and the cover off above the exit area I can not see a sensor flag but it may use a different type of photo sensor facing down on a surface.

I can't get rid of the jam message? Thanks for your time and any help offered

    mageRUNNER ADVANCE 8105 / 8095 / 8085 / Puncher Unit-BF1

When using the internal hole punch, the machine feeds paper to the registration roller and the control panel indicates "printing".
After a period of time, the machine will code into an
E590-8002. In addition, there may be jam code 1307 at machine startup.

Over a period of the time, the hole punch wiring harness that goes to the sensors and motors may fatigue causing intermittent codes and jams.
Replace the wiring harness FM4-0319-000 (Figure O10 #47)

Check if the bracket that holds sensor S105 is bent preventing the encoder wheel from blocking the sensor.
If so ,Reform the sensor S105 bracket toward the encoder to correct the error.

E590-8002 Error in Punch motor M102

    1. Re-seat connectors on the Finisher Controller=???
    2. Have you verified 24v is present into the Punch Controller and fuses. ??
    3. Checked that M102 had no bind. ??

Replace the Punch Controller to resolve the E590-8002.

    Punch Controller part number FM4-0310-000

    Thanks for your quick response.

The punch option is never used for this customer and at their request is it possible to remove the punch unit? Problem solved??

I remember a similar case and to solve it I had to remove the hole punch, for that I got both a second hand step guide and I even had to change the controller card of the finisher ... luck!
