[Limitation for combinations of new type Main Controller PCB assembly (1) withMN-CONT version]

Network related parts used in the Main Controller PCB assembly (1) have beenchanged due to parts supply reasons.
A label [with a part number: FM0-xxxx (001) (refer to 2) described below)] has beenattached to the new type Main Controller PCB assembly (1).

Be sure to use systemfirmware MN-CONT Ver.40.01 and later for a machine with which the PCB isequipped.
If an old version of system software MN-CONT Ver.37.01 or earlier is installed in amachine in which a new type Main Controller PCB assembly (1) is installed,the network functions are unavailable.

The current Main Controller PCB assembly (1) (FMx-xxxx) will continue to besupplied as a service part. [* Refer to 1]

[How to distinguish between the old and new Main Controller PCB assembly (1)]
The old and new Main Controller PCB assembly (1) can be distinguished as follows:
1. Press the Counter Check Key on the LUI to check the Main Board Version on theCheck Device Configuration Screen.
For new type: "9 and later"
2. Check the part number label attached to the Main Controller PCB assembly (1).
For new type: FM0-0311 (001) is printed.
For new type: FM0-xxxx (001) is printed.
Example: FM0-0311(001)(001) is printed on the new type, whereas (001) is not printed on the current type.
In addition, printing of the part number varies depending on the type (model) ofthe board.

1. The version Service Support Tool that is recommended for upgrading is v4.74Em orhigher.
2. From this version of firmware, all files (basic set, additional set) are included in thebasic set.
Therefore, when registering firmware files to the SST, only the following basic set isdisplayed during download.
After downloading it, be sure to register all thedecompressed files to SST."iAC2230vXXXXXXJP_US

Procedure to Setup the USB Flash Drive for theimageRUNNER ADVANCE C2225/C2230 Series
(Note: This USB procedure differs from other imageRUNNER models)
Example:
1. After the USB_iAC2230_v35.06.01.zip has been extracted, open the USB_iAC2230_v35.06.01 folderand then “Copy& Paste” the folder “iAC2230” to your USB Flash Drive.

Note:If the message below is displayed, it means that the iAC2230 folder already exists on the USB Flash Drive.
Ifyou select “Yes to All”, it will replace the folder but not lose any contents inside of it such as a previousfirmware version.
This machine allows the option of choosing which version to install.

1. Place the USB Flash Drive into the USB port on the side of the control panel and turn the machine onholding 2 & 8 to place into Download Mode.

2. Select the version to download:
Example: 1. SYSTEM_2301-JEGSFI-DCON_2004-FIN_CON_0204-TSP_0142-FIN_C2. SYSTEM_3506-JEGSFI-DCON_2505-FIN_CON_0401-TSP_0142-FIN_C

3. Select 1: Upgrade

4. Select 0: OK

Hi guys,

I have the below error on an IR C2220i that was updated with the wrong firmware (IRAC2030) and now it's saying this when I try to enter the download mode:

Have tried changing the Main controller with a working machine but no luck, also changing HDD doesn't make a difference

Any help would be appreciated!

While using the CDS to receive content, the wrong version or application information is being delivered and is not what is expected for the model device being used. It will be necessary to ensure that the correct Country / Area selection in service mode is correct for the location in which the CDS is being used. The image below shows how the setting is for Japan. To select another region use the +/- key as outlined. We can then select another Country / Area for example US as shown in the second image. After making this setting, please reboot the device. To access the area of concern in Service Mode level 1, execute the following. Copier > Option > FNC-SW > Config

Unable to Enter Service Mode

1. Unable to enter service mode using *2 8 or *4 9. -----? 2. Unable to enter download mode. -----? 3. Unable to flash using a thumb drive.--------? 4. Unable to enter diagnostics mode by holding down the 2 and 4 keys while powering up.------? All of the keys on the control panel are working and otherwise the machine functions normally. --------? The problem was found to be a stuck fax volume button switch.

i have the same problem with my c2220i. Tried to upgrade firmware online and instead seems downgraded it. Now network does not work anymore. Trying to upgrade from USB, however get following error:
