Re: Assistance Scanning Using Canon IR C3200

Thank you. My network connection is in fact set through the C1 and I can print as mentioned.

I don't know where to print a configuration page but would love to do so.

I went through the above steps in resetting my printer settings but didn't get some of the listed options. Specifically when reestablishing the connection to the Fiery (printer tab, printer setting button), I get no response/options. It just makes me wait for a long time. In fact, when I tried this last time, I got an error message that one of the print controller fans is bad. After switching the two fans, it turns out it is the fan controller on the main board. After turning on and off the image runner (not the Fiery - which was left on), the test page I sent from Windows was printed. Thus - I know my network connection is good (192.168.1.250).

The other thing that strikes me as odd when I fool around with the menus is the TCP/IP options (Additional Functions => System Settings => Network Settings => TCP/IP Settings. As you can see in the attached picture, I only have the two listed options and not a place to enter the TCP/IP address.

Thanks again for for all the help.

U don't set up any network settings under add functions when u have a immagePASS C1 connected.

Your network settings are set under Printer Tab on main screen menu,

That must be the problem. I don't have access to that screen. I wonder why.

Is there a way to run diagnostics on the C1 (Fiery)?

Before you try & get the scanning working start with printing.

Your problem is with the fiery, the error you are getting E677

Can you print from a pc to the copier at all? has you EVER seen it print?

    Yes - I can print.

The Ethernet cable runs from my router to the Ethernet port on the Fiery.

I added the the printer through Windows with no problem. The ScanGear tool program also sees the Canon on the network (192.168.1.250).

One additional fact that I don't know whether it's relevant. In order to print (and not get the error message about the fan being defective), I always must boot up the Fiery first and then turn on the copier.

    ________

At the Control Panel, press [Printer] tab. Press [Printer Status/Settings].

U may need to scroll over to see Printer Tab,
Look at upper right corner on main screen of control panel, u should see a arrow -->, press to scroll and view next Tabs.

There u will see Printer_ under that is where u input Network settings when an immagePASS is connected.

    ??? are u a tech or keyop _?
