    iR3245 "Receiving..." and "Procesing..." message

    Hello friends...

I have a printing problem. The customer sends the document to print, but the machine (iR3245) doesn´t print. Sometimes stay "PROCESING..." and other times "RECEIVING..." Just after restarting the machine all documents are printed. It doesn´t happen all the time but it is annoying to restar the machine everytime.

    I performed:

    - the CLEAR MMI, DC CON, MN CONT.
    - Format the HDD.
    - Install again the firmware. Even update the firmware to V48.02.01
    - Reinstall drivers. Tried PCL and UFRII latest versions.
    - Clean de DIMM memories, HDD and Main Controller.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

It is strange - I have the same machine giving exactly the same problem, but the customer uses it mostly as a copier so I didn't hunt it down

Just a suggestion, if you have WiFi in the building and available on your network someone could have taken over the IP address of the copier. Turning Off the copier and back ON and then it printing out the documents is sometimes a sign of this. To check and make sure unplug the network cable on the copier and see if you can still ping that network address. It you can then someone's smart phone or Ipad or something has taken over that IP address and that would explain the problem you are having.

That would be a good explanation. I asked the admin if they provide wireless access to the office and told me that the machine IP address is reserved at the router. The range of wireless IP address is different.

I would still test it, I have seen things get reset?

Reserved doesn't say that much, if the user put's the IP static in his/her device and plugs it in, you can still have problems...
Only if he customer uses pretty advanced routing scemes you can avoid these problems, but that means if you would connect the printer to another port it would also fail... I can't remember having seen that kind of advanced routing 'just' for printers...

Maybe it's something obvious like finisher issue or stapler don't have staples.

To eliminate it being an double IP adress thing :
Power down+ reboot with 1&7 pressed -> Local IP adresss 172.16.1.100
install driver on your laptop using this IP adress.
    Try printing.

I use the Local IP thing quite often for testing (no user prints coming inbetween)
