Cannon IR3235 "install toner" error after replacing it
Hi, we have several of these copiers and in the last few weeks some of them have been giving this "install toner" errors even after replacing the toner units with refilled ones.
Toners look in good shape not broken or with any signs of wear, and from what ive been told they refill their own bottles to save some money (ive been working here for only 2 months) and they dont remember if theese units ever gave this particular error.
Anyways, ive serviced 3 of these copiers just in the last 10 days, all of them with the exact same problem "install toner" and device is locked, no way to copy or print, and ive solved it by reinstalling the same toner unit and "playing" with with both, the toner unit and the locking lever by pushing-pulling until the toner bottle spins.
Just wondering if anyone knows why this happens? i dont think it´s an actual fautly unit since it has happened on 3 different copiers.
If the Toner Bottle Latch is missing the Toner Cartridge can move within the Hopper causing false "Replace Toner Cartridge Messages.
Check to make for the Latch is present. If the latch is missing you will need to call the Technical Support Center for more assistance.

Thanks guys, i think the hopers are startimng to show signs of wear since i was able to recreate the problem. Only way to solve it was to fiddle with the bootle by pushing and pulling until it spins when performing an ¨install - toner-s¨ on service menu.

The hoppers have been modified, details available on Sims. Just follow the instructions from the manual when you fit tbem and very easily fall apart. Will take a good hour or two...
