    E5F2 8001 error 5240 J1 finisher

    Hi guys
as above I have this error, after resetting in limited funtions got lots of noise as booklet maker tried to reset but didnt.
I manually turned every thing I could move and reset again and yay it came right.
Now I can staple and use sorter but when I try booklet it goes through the motions does the stapling in the booklet maker but then nothing! It comes up with a jam.
My logic could be wrong but if it resets and is ready to go the motor and the home postion sensor should be working ok? So I am suspecting the control board, please anyone with experience on these finishers and this code can you help?

    Cheers guys

running the 'Saddle Stitcher Staple Repositioning'

This adjustment is run in user mode under: Settings / Registration > Adjustment / Maintenance > Adjust Action > saddle Stitcher Staple Repositioning > 'start'. After running this adjustment the finisher and machine will cycle and a single sheet will come out of the saddle tray with test staples on it.

E5F2 8001= Guide home position error
The guide home position sensor does not turn ON when the guide motor has been driven for 700 pulses.
    1. The guide home position sensor (PI13) is faulty.■
    2. The guide plate drive mechanism is faulty.■
    3. The guide Motor (M3) is faulty.■
    4. The saddle stitcher controller PCB is faulty.

    just a follow up FYI
found that the metal guide that comes out to stop the paper falling down past the staple point in the booklet maker was bent as and catching.
If you turn the little green knob it moves the plate back and forth it is that plate.
Im not sure if that caused the original code and noise but it caused the jam just sitting there.
