Canon IR 3235 no network options in settings.

A client is reporting they canīt print on their machine, they told me it was working fine in the morning and later in the afternoon it stopped printing, checked the network cable and it was working just fine since i tested it with my laptop, then i thought maybe someone had changed the IP adress, but the strange thing is the "Network Settings" button in "Additional Functions-System Settings" is gone, not greyed out but completely gone.

They have another IR3235 on the other side of the office thyat is working fine, and on that machine i can see the Network Settings in that menu, why could this menu be gone on the other machine? if it was a duplicated IP error i think the menu would still be there to make changes to the network config, only thing i can think off is that the network card died.

    Any idea?

If you are unable to see any Network Settings on the imageRUNNER then the Ethernet Board may not be securely seated. Un-seat and re-seat the network board.

Also the imageRUNNER may be switched in the imagePASS mode and needs to be switched off that mode to show the Network Settings option.
To switch off the imagePASS mode follow the instructions below:

    Enter Service mode (Additional Functions > 2 & 8 > Additional Functions).
    Select Copier > Option > INT-FACE > IMG-CONT.
Change the setting to "0" and press OK.
    Power Cycle the imageRUNNER.
The Network Settings option should now be available within the System Settings menu of Additional Functions. If it is not available after setting the IMG-CONT setting to "0" even if it was set to "0" already then perform a "CLEAR-MMI".

    To perform a "CLEAR-MMI":

    Enter Service mode (Additional Functions > 2 & 8 > Additional Functions).
    Select Copier > Function > CLEAR > CLEAR-MMI.
    Highlight "CLEAR-MMI" and press OK.
    Power Cycle the imageRUNNER.

Note: The problem on some copier models could be caused by the Ethernet Board not securely seated, re-seat the board.

Check to see if the network settings are on (top option where you put the ip address in). If off the settings are grayed out.
