Second side of original is lighter and blurry

On a iR8295 machine when I scan from ADF (2-sided original) - the second side of the page comes out blurry and lighter.
It is not printer issue - it occurs on scanner.

It does not happen from glass - only from ADF.

    I have cleaned everything.

    What am I missing ?

    Thnx,

Re: Second side of original is lighter and blurry

On most single scan document feeders the first side is scanned by the CCD through the slit glass, and the second side is simultaneously scanned by a CIS in the DF. The CCD can produce a much better image in most cases than the CIS, so often a quality difference is noticeable. I would not be a bit surprised if Canon had some special test patterns to calibrate the image quality for both the CCD and the CIS. You might take a look in your service manual. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

not sure on that model but cant you go into CCD adjust and do DF-WVLgth 1 and 2, 1 works from the glass and 2 works from the DADF, i find that it works great on some IR machines to improve quality

    Thnx,
If it is a dirty/dusty environment you need to take the second side scanner out of the adf and clean. Not very hard to do. Take it out from the top. Clean the mirrors or you may need to replace it if it is bad. All mine I cleaned. It throws a code when it gets real dirty.

Ok - apparently the inner mirror (side mirror) inside the cis was very dusty.

I did clean all the glasses (also my glasses )

    It is looking better now.

    Thnx fellas !
