As I said before this white band is caused by the fuser unit.
Your only option is to replace it.
You may however have better results using thicker paper, just ensure you change the paper settings to reflect the paper weight you are using.

Can you point out the part I need, or a part number? Googling for Canon iR3100 fuser unit gives me some upper fuser rollers, and lower pressure fuser rollers. And they seems to be out of stock.
Where is the thing located btw.?
EDIT: Found one on google - £500. No way i'll spend that sort of money.
Is it only this plastsheet that goes woo?
That video is not for your model.
If you’re on a budget you can just replace the fixing & pressure rollers
FC5-0726-000 & FC5-0727-000

Well, don't know if i'm on a budget - But it was free, with extra toner cartridges. I only use it for hobby-use. My trusty old HP2200D is my daily printer. I only use this one for A3 size schematics, etc.
£500 is more than i'll spend, thats for sure. I'll scrap it then. There are a lot of A3 copiers for sale for ~£150-300 (and 10 years newer)
Seems like you're are in the business. Can you recommend a shop that sell to EU countries - And that actually have the spares in stock? (feel free to PM if it is)
This seems like a good price - IF they can deliver it, doesn't it? Canon Fixiereinheit FM2-0174-190 Fuser Unit Original
Am I correct the fuser assembly is FM2-0174-190?

I'm located in Denmark. = 230V supply.
Old plastics and breaking it, i know the drill.
Yes so FM2-0174-190 is correct.
Try ringing round some Canon dealers in Denmark, you may find they have them in stock & will be keen to let them go!
Also eBay is a good source of parts.

It is quite possible that some dealers have NOS parts laying around. I'll give that a go.
Thanks a lot for your help
