We have an irc3080 in the field that we flashed with the latest firmware to eliminate the E067 errors and the "install new black drum" message. The tech says it loaded successfully, but the version still shows the old version and not the new 66.02 version. Is there something we could be missing? We've done it numerous times before with success on other copiers......any ideas?
Latest Firmware is v96.03.01
Is tech using SST or Memory Stick ?
Make sure your ver. of System Software is registered correctly in SST.
Note:
E067 on this series usually comprises a verity of checks.
**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**
Latest firmware & a new ITB unit is the recommended fix for E067/Insert drum issues.

The firmware is designed to ignore the dirty ITB and not display an error.
