    Canon C1

    Good Morning All-
We have multiple C1's - I now have a nagging error of E0060-0010 - My manual says to"turn the machine off and then back on" -
    I've reset the error in service mode and . . . .
Replace the charge wire unit, the transfer wire unit, entire drum unit to no avail

the machine starts the startup cycle then enters the first gradation cycle then comes up with this error - no previous issues - no jams or other errors in the log within 4 months that may have led up to this - additional direction that I can add to my service manual would be great-
    thanks in advance

Bad potential sensor cable or connector can cause E60 or E61 on C1 models.

Absolute apologies - my coffee hadn't completely hit-
    the code was 0061-0010
I did try a new pink sensor cable as I have that as a stock part - looked at my service log and the last thing I did to this machine was in april - I replace a cracked actuator/plastic /metal rod - part #FC6-1043 - to correct an 020 error - I have not pulled that out this morning seems unrelated

    ===============================================

    e061-0010 = different ballgame from e060

Check the potential control harness first.
The wire sometimes pull out of the connector. This is the white connector that has the black plastic sheathing around it.

What happens when u test by Turning potential control off > power off > power on ????

    Potential Sensor (FM2-2642-000) ??

    HTV1, FM2-2633-000
Another issue to be aware of is the OLPC (Online Parts Catalog) for the imagePRESS C1 lists the HVT1 as a cover, as shown in the screenshot below.
Disregard the description, as the part number is correct for the HVT1, ITEM 39.

The photo below shows the HVT1 with its cover removed.

    E061’s – Potential Control

In order to stabilize printing, the engine
executes Potential Control to optimize the
electrostatic latent image factors, i.e. Grid
Bias, Developer Bias and Laser Intensity. When
any of these image formation components
malfunction, Potential Control can fail, and an
E061 is generated. Failures in Potential Control
can ultimately result in an E020 error Code.

Teckat already ask: What happens when u test by Turning potential control off > power off > power on ????

    Bad primary corona?
    Old drum?
    Bad potential sensor?

sometimes this error appears in the field, to solve I unmount the laser unit and clean the polygonal laser motor and mirrors.
