Canon ImagePress C7000VP - Installation Assistance Needed

    Dear Copytechnet users

I have acquired a Canon ImagePress C7000VP and I'm in need of assistance firing it up.

I have successfully connected all components and wired the main unit, but nothing shows up on the main unit's touch screen –other than the Main Power light being on– and neither does the Fiery server show anything on its screen, making a repeated beeping noise as soon as I turn it on.

I'll gladly agree on a service fee with anyone capable of helping me making it run, at least during the first steps.
This can be done in person (I'm based in Portland, OR) or remotely.

    Thanks in advance
    Mariano

    Hi Mariano!

Sounds like wrong connection on main station. Can you post a pic of the back of the main station? Maybe a clue from the manual page?

Thank you for providing me with these installation pages, they are on point.

I'll revise my connection as per these instructions and see if I've omitted anything.

The wiring on the main unit looks correct, as per diagrams F-170 through F-173.
I'll have to revise the wiring inside the power unit station. How does one detach the power unit from the sub station? It seems somehow locked

Power station is attached on main station.Sub station is connected with arcnet and communication cable.
If you wont detach power from main, then must remove all connectors and video cables,
Remove rear panel from power station.
    Remove screw from the picture.

Power station dont need to be removed if it's already mounted.Do you have enough power? 3phase,400v, 32 amp?
Check 3 communicaton connectors.they easily change to each other.maybe you've cconnected machine only with one power cable?

You are saying it needs 400V instead of 208V? Canon's website says this model runs on 208V so I'm confused now.

There's only one power cable connected to the main unit (3-phase, 208V, 30A)
There's a secondary 110V power cable connected to the paper stacker, but the main unit has only one power connection as described above.

Here's a video of what I see on the main unit display, paper stacker display and on the Fiery screen:

Exactly, and this is precisely what I've installed, but I'm still getting a power cable connection error on the Fiery screen and the machine won't start up.

I suspect the power unit might not be properly connected to the main unit, because all other connections between the main unit, sub unit and paper stacker are in place.
    Is my suspicion correct?

The fiery will say that if the main unit is off - so I think you're okay from that standpoint.

You must have something either connected wrong, or there is a remote signal not getting through the system.

I would check out your power station and confirm the voltages at each board...

You're probably not getting the 12V signal to turn on the DC controller power supply.

Do you have the manual for this badboy? I might have the wiring diagram scanned somewhere if you need it. A bit more tangly than a regular copier lol.

There are several connectors lower right hand corner of rear power supply, and upper left hand side of power supply, and small serial cable that plugs into upper right hand corner which is for your display.
And between the two units by the waste auger pipe is a connector and arcnet. Lots of things to look at. Other than the green light on the control panel what do you hear on power up?
