    AdvC2030 Can't scan to email

    We have an Adv C2030 in the field that can Scan to a folder on the desktop but can't scan to email. When you press SCAN/SEND, then press NEW DESTINATION it gives a drop down menu with Email, Folder, I-fax etc. Email is grayed out. I am guessing this is turned off somewhere in the Service Mode but not sure where.....can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance.

    I'm with Copier Tech : No Email setup = not available... Check SMTP settings, "From" adress etc...

    I'm not sure, they just bought this copier used from someone. Scan to email is standard option with SEND, correct? I have other units (same model) and the customer doesn't use Scan to Email so its not setup but the option isn't grayed out. I feel like something is turned off somewhere. There is something in Service Mode Copier>Option>User>Mail Of, but when you turn that Off, the option disappears all together, doesn't gray it out.

    Found it! Under Settings/Registration>Functions>Send>Common Settings> go to pg 4...Limit New Destination, for some reason someone turned On Limit Email destinations so it was grayed out.

    Good to hear... Sounds like the former owner had a preset Adressbook or even just LDAP, so they couldn't send documents outside the corporation...
