It is usually the patch sensor is dirty, very common issue on this range, if you remove the black toner cartridge, you can get access to clean it in the machine, reach in open shutter and wipe the sensor.Originally Posted by Serviceusam

Pull out the drum and clean the patch reader....upper left I believe. Its been a long time since I've seen one...
