Canon IR1435 fixing films

We have a few of these we sold and recently with low meter machines we have had problems with fixing films tearing and

the lower roller getting damaged on the front side. I have seen a couple posts on the forum concerning this issue but no

responses. Has anyone seen any tech pubs related to the fixing assemblies on these models?

Try updating the firmware to DCON V05.01 and change the springs located in the fixing unit. Canon realease new spring with a black line:

NEW FE3-4230-010 SPRING, TENSION
OLD FE3-4230-000 SPRING, TENSION

Tried to order those updated springs and it said no longer

available. Did they change the number again?

I have had a few units fail around 30k on a new machine but after replacing the entire unit they are over 50k and good to go. I am thinking just bad units on new machines.
