    Windows 10 Home scan to file not working

    Customer upgraded to a laptop with Windows 10 Home. Now they can't scan to file. Their Windows 7 computer worked

    just fine. The copier is an IRADVC5035. I have seen some threads here but not for a Canon. I checked all the permissions

    for the folder and it's set the same way I have set others. I have set up scanning for other Windows 10 computers without

    problems. Just not the Home version. I can't browse to the computer. I get the send error #801 so I went through the

    items it listed and no change. Any ideas?

    Hi

    Check in windows 10 in Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network and Sharing Center\Advanced sharing settings password protected sharing turn off. password protected sharing off and will work.

    There is a firmware fix for this issue, its allows SMB V2/3 scanning.

    this is what i did to resolve the issue with a update to windows 10 that suddenly wouldn't allow the connection to the scanner. i tried everything and couldn't do it. the customers young IT did it and furnished me with the procedure which i tried on another customer that had the same problem after an update. and it worked

    Go to services, locate Windows Image Acquisition service, select properties, go to log on tab, change to Local System Account, and check Allow service to interact with desktop.
