Hi Everyone,
hoping for some advice in regards to a network connectivity issue on the Canon ir-c2880.
We received one from a wholesaler at a discounted price and i have been tasked with installation, unfortunately it just turned up and i wasn't involved in the purchase process.
i have worked with various vendors such as samsung, konica minolta, HP, and normally as far as network configuration goes its pretty straight forward. Add a Static IP Address, or Turn on DHCP, Save, Reboot. and then i can normally Ping across the network so i can see the device. Then i can move onto management from the GUI.
However this cannon will not ping, i cannot reach it from the network, i have tried static and dhcp. neither work, the ping tool from the printer its self is unable to ping anything on the network either, so i know its not connected.
All my IP ranges etc are correct. i can see physically connectivity in the sense that the lights on the network switch are blinking. However the copier still doesn't seem to talk to anything else.
I had a search prior to posting and found the following post, it doesn't 100% acculturately match my issue but this the closest i could find when surfing google for answers.
Canon IR C2880 unable to print on network
I did notice in this post referring to limitations with the "i" models, could this be my issue, or am i looking at some other hardware issue.
i also know that there are licenses applied to the copier via the on screen menu, im assuming different licenses give different capabilities etc, is this possibly an issue, maybe this copier has some basic license which doesn't allow to be added to a network.
we actually had two delivered the other is none working and just for parts, so i switched what i thought is the network card out between machines. i say its the network card because its the only place on the copier with an rj45 connection, however i know that doesn't necessarily mean it is. I have attached a picture below to help identify.

I just need to get this thing on the network and configured as a network printer,
I also read that i may require an "Open Interface Board" i have no problem if that's the case il just need to purchase one. Hoping some experts in here can be my salvation.
