    canon IR C3220

Was at this customers office for a Kon/Min I sold them and they asked me to look at this Canon machine. Not too familiar with canon but have worked on many over the years. Didn't have a lot of time so looked at it real fast. Looks like it needs black drum. I have the Serv manual but only saw how to install drums when first setup. Is there any trick to removing a drum already in the machine. I tried to pull the blk drum and it wouldn't come out. I'm sure I could have figured it out if I had more time or maybe it's in the manual and I just missed it. Is there a trick to get the drums out?

Also what settings / adjustments are done after new drum is installed.

    Thanks in advance

Very simple, they are designed to be customer replaceable.

Open front cover, lower big blue handle then the smaller one, simply slide the drum unit out.
Nothing needs to be done it will set its self up hower you may want to run auto gradation you’ll easily find that from user menu pressing *

Thanks copier tech. I must of not pulled on the drum hard enough. It wouldn't come out. As long as I know I don't have to do anything special I'll just pull on it harder. Good to know they are end user replaceable. Puts my stupid tech mind at ease.

Any suggestions where to get these at a good price?

    Thanks again

The key is to lower the big blue handle which lowers the transfer assembly away from the drums
