Details on pr i nting double Canon Ir C2380i

    Salutations!

I have a Canon iR 2380i that started to leave like a shodow copy of text only on the upper part of every document. It repeats every 10 cm or so from left to right... I tried the cleaning procedures that I had available in the menu but no success.

If you guys know what I should clean inside to solve the problem please advise. I have opened the drum/belt unit but did not touch anything yet.

I attached a scanned page , if it is hard to grasp these marks please tell me and I will highlight the areas.

    Thank you in advance,
    Jan.

It's look like fixing unit bad.Visually inspect rollers and try with cleaning. Easily use cloth and wd-40.Try not to scratch. If the rollers are already worn, it's time to replace the fixing unit.

When you have echo/repeating patterns on the print measure the distance between them and divide it by 3,14. It gives you a clue of the diameter of the roller that creates the pattern...
with 10 cm in between you're loking for something that is app 3,2 cm in diameter... That's too small for a drum, but could be a roller in the fuser...
