    IR2535 touch screen calibration

Does anyone know if there is a procedure for this. The service mode is different from the 3225 series and I can’t seem to find a procedure in the service manual. It’s not off by a lot but you have to touch the tabs at the very top in order for them to work.

    Re: IR2535 touch screen calibration

    Question :

Can the LCD Display on the Control Panel be calibrated?

The point of touch is not centered for the point of contact on the LCD Display.

    Answer :

Yes, the LCD Display on the Control Panel be calibrated.

Enter service mode (Press the Additional Functions key, then 2, then 8, then the Additional Functions key again to enter service mode). #SSSW will appear on the LCD Display.

Press the left arrow key once and #Test Mode will appear. Press the OK key. Test Mode (1)-(9) will appear.

Press the 6 key on the key pad and Faculty Test (1)-(9) will appear. Press the 7 key on the key pad.

Factory 01 02 03 will appear on the LCD Display. Select 01. Touch Panel XY Adjust will appear on the screen.

Select (highlight) Touch Panel XY Adjust then press the OK key. A plus ( + ) sign will appear in the upper left hand corner of the LCD Display.

Press the plus ( + ) sign. The plus sign will move to the center of the LCD Display. Press the plus sign again - the plus sign will move.

Each time you press the plus sign, the plus sign will move to a different spot on the LCD Display until the plus sign reaches the lower right hand corner of the LCD Display. When the plus sign reaches the lower right hand corner of the LCD, press the plus sign one final time and the Touch Panel XY Adjust screen will re-appear.

At this time, the calibration of the LCD Touch Display is finished. Keep pressing the Stop key on the Control Panel until Test Mode appears then press the Additional Functions key once to return to the normal Ready screen on the LCD Display.

I can’t thank you enough. I searched through that entire service mode and must’ve missed that. I will repost when I’m finished

The 400if is a bit easier as it has the standard canon service mode. In service mode go to Copier>Function>panel>touchchk than press the + symbols in order and you're done.
