Printing to C5030 from Mac with user codes

From Canon's public website it found the operating system 10.9 but the recommended driver is 10.14, downloaded and ran the utility I do not think it found the copier on it own . I can web into the unit from the workstation . I manually added the IP address but when a job is sent it shows that the print job can not communicate with the printer. I found the area to put in the user code but still not working.
Not very familiar with Macs. Any suggestions ?

The install program you ran only installs the driver into the operating system. You still need to add the printer in the printers area before you can print to it.

I don't do Mac's very often but I believe you need to put the word "print" in the box where it asks for a queue name.

Here are a few screenshots.

• Install the correct print driver for your model.

• Now that the driver is pre-installed you can click on the + and add your printer manually by selecting the software / Canon model from a list.

You can either use LPD or HP Jetdirect as the protocol (both will work).

• Then configure your printers additional options.

• When the correct print driver is installed and the additional options have been configured you will have access to the complete feature set from the drop down lists.
